Throughout the year, beekeeping organizations from across the state host bee schools, workshops, and field days. These events are designed to help beekeepers of all experience levels and those thinking about becoming beekeepers learn more about beekeeping. They are also a great place to meet other local beekeepers.
Many Kentucky beekeepers regularly attend events in neighboring states because they live near the state line. (Kentucky is bordered by seven different states; only Missouri and Tennessee have more neighboring states (8) than we do.) We are therefore happy to share events happening in our neighboring states that Kentucky beekeepers might be interested in attending.
Below is a list of bee schools and other beekeeping events that are coming up in 2018. Kentucky beekeeping events are found at the beginning of the list and are organized by county so you can easily find the ones closest to you. All out-of-state beekeeping events can be found at the end of the list and are organized by state. Please watch the beekeeping workshops section of our news posts and the calendar for more information about the various bee schools, workshops, and field days. You can also subscribe to receive our news posts through email.
Events go on the calendar soon after the information is received. All beekeeping workshops on the calendar are in green. News posts about the event are typically sent out approximately a month from the event or registration deadline simply so people don’t forget about it by the time the event occurs.
If you know of additional events that should be listed, please contact the webmaster.
