Honey Bee and Beekeeping Resources for Teachers on KSBA Website

Over the years, many of KSBA’s members have been contacted by local teachers who want someone to talk to their classes about honey bees and beekeepers. These are important requests and we are happy that our members are often able to fulfill them. Thank you to everyone who has taken time out of their busy schedules to talk to local classes and other groups.

One of KSBA’s objectives is to teach others about honey bees and beekeeping. The Honey Booth at the State Fair is one way that we accomplish this object. Our members speaking with local schools and other organizations is another way. Recently we added a list of resources, lesson plans, and curriculums about honey bees to our website as yet another way to accomplish our educational objective. This list can be found on our website under Educational Resources for Teachers.

The Educational Resources for Teachers is an ever evolving list. If you know of other resources that should be included, please send them to Shannon Trimboli, KSBA webmaster. Also, please tell the teachers you know about the list. It doesn’t do much good if no one knows the resource exist.
