EAS Announces Keynote Speakers and Calls for Volunteers

By: Ralph C. (Buddy) May Jr., EAS President

Please “Save the Date” on your calendar for the Eastern Apicultural Society’s 2019 Conference scheduled on July 15-19, 2019 in Greenville, South Carolina! Our list of Keynote Speakers include: Dr. Dewey Caron, Dr. Dennis vanEngelsdorp, Dr. Kirsten Traynor, Dr. Geoff Williams, Dr. Meghan Milbrath, Jennifer Berry, and Dr. Jay Evans. And we’ll have many more speakers including speakers from EAS Master Beekeepers, South Carolina, Georgia, North Carolina, and elsewhere.

Would you like to be part of making EAS 2019 a fabulous conference? If so, we have many different areas where you can volunteer. Volunteering has it perks, including a reduction in conference registration depending on how many hours you volunteer.

The following are guidelines to help you decide how many hours you wish to volunteer:

  • If volunteering for 4 to 7 hours, you can attend the conference for the remainder of the day for free.
  • If you volunteer for 8 to hours, you can attend a second day of the conference for free and get a volunteer t-shirt, or you can split the 8 hours of volunteering and 8 hours of attending talks between two days.
  • If you volunteer for 16 hours (2 days), you receive a volunteer T-shirt and the other days of the conference for free.
