KSBA Certified Honey Producers Program Manager Selected
The Executive Board of the Kentucky State Beekeepers Association received several qualified candidate résumés for the position of Program Manager. After careful review and consideration of all the applications, the KSBA Executive Board has made a selection of Mrs. Sarah Preston for the Project Management position. Sarah will be formally introduced at KSBA’s spring meeting on March 30, 2019 at Hardin County Beekeeper’s Beekeeping School. Sarah is a recent graduate of the University of Kentucky with a Master of Science in Entomology and a graduate certificate in Applied Statistics. She has been keeping honey bees on her farm in Anderson County for five years and has been researching insects for over ten years. Sarah is highly interested in queen bee production and bee health. Her initial goal for the Certified Kentucky Honey program is to help educate beekeepers and the general public on the benefits to be had from selling and purchasing of local honey. By joining the KSBA and becoming a Certified Honey Producer, we can help to increase consumer trust in the honey industry throughout the state.
