Resources for Local Bee Clubs

New and prospective beekeepers are urged to join their local bee club to learn more about the art of beekeeping. In addition, experienced beekeepers find themselves with questions and want to connect with other beekeepers in the area. Leveraging the knowledge of local beekeepers is essential to becoming a successful beekeeper. KSBA strongly recommends joining a local bee club.

Frequently Asked Questions about Local Bee Clubs

Does KSBA have regular meetings that Local Bee Club Officers can attend?

Yes. KSBA has monthly board meetings where important information is presented and decisions are made. All Local Bee Club Presidents or their designated alternates are invited to attend and participate in discussions.

How do I get on the Board meeting invitation list?

When you join KSBA, we ask: “Are you an officer with a local bee club?” We use this information to invite all local bee club officers to KSBA Board Meetings. It also lets us email important announcements to help you run your local bee club. When you renew your membership each year, we prompt you to update your profile, which includes updating if you are still an officer with your local bee club. In addition, you can update your membership profile at any time. You can also unsubscribe and control the emails you receive from us in your profile or using  the link at the bottom of every email you receive from us.

Can I view meeting minutes?

Yes. Meeting minutes are published on the KSBA website.
