Honeybee Queens
Tired of investing in unproductive queens? The Hardin County Beekeeping Association invites you to participate in a comprehensive Queen Rearing program, designed for beekeepers of all experience levels. This program offers a combination of professional lectures and hands-on training, led by Certified Master Beekeeper Kent Williams, a prominent figure in Kentucky beekeeping. Participants will learn about diverse methods for producing exceptional queens, including grafting, hive setup, and the employment of cell builders and finishers. The program is scheduled to take place over two days: May 31, 2025 and June 7, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Hardin County Extension Office, located at 111 Opportunity Way, Elizabethtown, KY. The cost to attend is $20 per person and $30 per couple for both days. Join us to discover the art of raising productive queens and minimizing expenses.
